Anyone know of any. I can only find 2 on Auto trader / eBay.
He's not interested in an A5!

There’s a black S4 on auto trader that might fit the bill, although it’s auto (the auto is a much better option on the S4 due to gearing)

A5 is much less dated - presume buyer is concerned about oil consumption issue with 2.0T?

Missed that bit until after posting, having already ignored manual only :D but point remains to not exclude the S4 from searches as they are usually listed separately and are often in better condition than the lower spec models, but have their own issues with cam chains stretching.

I'd agree, indeed don't rule out an RS4 either...... unless running costs are a factor, in which case the S/RS man maths can quickly get out of control!

Thanks guys but the buyer is not your sporty type. He likes all the comforts and mentioning turbos raises an eyebrow! I was explaining TFSI at the time. :)

So, I have mine for sale, ticks a lot of boxes, it really is an excellent car. I'd ideally keep it but unfortunately my track car as at (arguably beyond) the limits of what I can put on the road and not invite trouble.

I looked at weights and considered getting a towbar for the A4 so I could solve the issue but it'll tow a max braked capacity of 1800kg, the track car is 1250kg and that doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room for trailer weight - so selling.

I can't speak highly enough of this car, I bought it after my D3 S8 and had it nearly 4 years - in fact, I posted about it here:

Its just had a new MOT, doesn't need a service for a while and although modified, its tastefully done (IMO), the S5 seats are a huge comfort upgrade.

Sorry, just seen the Petrol and except black and sub 60k miles... ignore me, my exuberance at someone else actually wanting an A4 took over! ha ha

Get him to join us over at the A4 Cabriolet Club UK on Facebook, a few there for sale, but be weary of the 1.8T, 2.0TFSI and S4 engines unless proof of common problems have been addressed.
