4.2TDI oil filter location
 

Hello All
Just got my 07 4.2TDI delivered , its a write off im repairing ,been hit on the passenger front side , nothing serious , needs a wing and the compressor cage was knackered and it needs a headlight + foglight.
Anyway while im stripping it down at the weekend and repairing it i wanted to do an oil change as its been sitting for a year ,more as a engine flush then once its on the road properly it can go into audi for another change and a stamp in the book.
Can anyone tell me were the oil filter is , it looks like its in a canister on the top of the engine under the engine cover but im not 100% positive , all the online ETKAs dont list the 4.2TDI??????

Would like to see some pictures of your rebuild project.

You are correct, the filter (part 22) is within a canister (part 17) on top of the engine.

Just what the doctor ordered.

I will take some before and after pics on saturday and post them up , weather looks good so i hope to be all done on saturday , VIC check is on tuesday so it has to be ready!
