Audi A8 D2 instrument binnacle removal

Hi all,
Is there any guidance on how to remove the binnacle for the FL D2? I need to remove mine so that both the time and mileage displays can be repaired.

The starting point is the two rectangular textured hex bolt covers that pop off. There are definitely descriptions here somewhere and/or on Audipages.
