Is it my imagination MJ, or is your S8 lower at the front than the norm?
Love that Grey - My old A4 was Achat Grey and I loved it! The XC90 is dark grey too and looks great. I don't think any were sold here that colour! :-( The mix of Black and Silver might be the closest I'll get :pint: |
Its not your imagination - she is lowered on Intrax springs and Bilstein dampers +++

Mostly fiddly stuff like wires and brackets last night. Got the main power junction box back in and all the wiring tidied up.
http://www.corradov8.com/pics/h10ean/h10ean_125.jpg Also primed the power steering - hooked up the reservoir and set the return hose over a glass jar, then I spun the pump with the battery drill and put about half a litre through it. It came out nice and clean this time. No more custard +++ Got some more hoses on and put the vacuum pump back in. http://www.corradov8.com/pics/h10ean/h10ean_126.jpg I need to figure out that one missing hose from the oil cooler tonight and sort out exhaust and gearbox things underneath, then hopefully radiator back on tomorrow and fire her up. |

For the oil cooler, could you use a flexible silicone hose? Forge Motorsport do some which are wire reinforced to prevent them collapsing when flexing. |

I solved the NLA oil cooler hose 078121058AH tonight. Start with a heater hose from a prefacelift V8 4D0819373F. We just need the middle bit for the angle: http://www.corradov8.com/pics/h10ean/h10ean_127.jpg Add an oil cooler hose from a 1.9TDI 058121058B http://www.corradov8.com/pics/h10ean/h10ean_128.jpg Join them together with a 16mm hose coupler. Fits perfectly :) http://www.corradov8.com/pics/h10ean/h10ean_129.jpg Crimp the two pieces on to the coupler http://www.corradov8.com/pics/h10ean/h10ean_130.jpg Protect the joint with adhesive-lined heatshrink and problem solved +++ http://www.corradov8.com/pics/h10ean/h10ean_131.jpg |
