B&O - No Sound

Not sure if anyone can help with this, but my system is producing no sound.

Tweeters didn't pop up like they normally do, and the AMI is showing as "Interface Paused".

No audio from radio, nor nav either....

...HELP!!!!

Interface paused is usually when you mute the volume.

Have you got VCDS to check it? Could maybe even be that the connection to the AMI is loose.

I've got a version but not a genuine one....must get one, I'll check the connections and see if I can find anything there +++

Switch the vehicle off and wait 20 minutes, then disconnect the negative lead, then disconnect the positive lead, then using a jump lead (piece of wire that has two crocodile clips) join the positive and negative leads together and leave them for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes remove the jump lead (crocodile clips) and reconnect the positive lead to the battery terminal and tighten up, then reconnect the negative lead to the battery and tighten up. Start up the engine.

Jump lead with crocodile clips.....
Must not be connected to any terminals that are still connected to a battery

What does this achieve? Does it reset something? Discharge the battery? Forgive my apparent stupidity, but I'd rather ask than not know :D

It will basically do a full hard power reset of the system, so will allow any capacitors, etc. to drain properly.

It will erase volatile memory

Tony, You've probably done this, but just in case
Are you aware that holding the volume know (to left of shifter) for a few seconds, switches the system off.
To switch on, just jab it down again.
