£19 5 litres of 504.00 507.00 oil in ASDA
Until October the 14th, ASDA are selling 5 litres of 504.00 / 507.00 oil at £19 instead of £24. It is in a purple container.
I know it's not officially VAG approved and the brand sucks, but heyho. I think it may be BP/Burmah/Castrol as they have also started stocking Castrol oils such as 2T & 4T motorcycle as new lines at the same time, it also has a number you can text the word OIL and reg. no. to - like Castrol, the number is different but the SMS reply is the same abeit the words Castrol recommends are replaced by ASDA recommends.. Hope it helps someone. |

Just as an update, had an oil change done today by a local Indy.
Was a small personal victory handing over 10 litres of oil that cost just £26, in V10 world those don't come along too often!! Also nice knowing I have another 5 lires in the shed for top ups, best £39 I've spent in 2017! |
£13 for 5 litres of compliant oil is hard to argue with. I've got in the habit of putting the same Quantum III oil in mine at each service, keep the two empty 5 litre containers from the previous time and just get my local VAG indy to refill them each time using a drum of Quantum III they get in, then I take my containers to the main dealer I have my S8 serviced at. Makes it a bit cheaper... Every little helps!

I purchased long life 3 507 quantum oil from tips for around £14 per 5 litres. I had to buy 20 litres to get that price so have enough left for another service on the a8 or a3
