Exhaust pressure sensor A
After waiting 6 hrs yesterday, in a remote (ish) location, for the AA to jump start my A8……(no one else around and no jump leads….)
When the car was started, it took much longer than normal to fire up. When I’ve put a generic code reader on it today….it says EXHAUST PRESSURE SENSOR A. Has anyone else experienced this? Is the sensor easily accessible and easy to replace? Cheers |
For a 4.2 TDI unfortunately no, it's not easily accessible. There are 2 of them, 1 for each bank and they are mounted on the top of gearbox. For access you need to unbolt the gearbox/subframe and lower them. Much easier on 3.0 TDI where it's under bonnet and only 10 minute job to change.

Bugger! Wish I had a 3.0 😀

I had this many years ago on a 4.2tdi..... got the right run around and not DIY'able for me on my drive, but the outcome wasn't that bad in the end (see post #20)

Ok - thanks Paul.
As much as I love this car, I find myself chasing my tail with it! The lists of things it needs/wants seems to be increasing. |
