Audi Ireland v UK Spares Prices - Rant

Lads,

Been looking for a replacement boot lid handle for some time, have to go main dealer. Local dealers are quoting £249 for the part, it's £160 in the UK. Why the heck these price differences..? V annoying.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

It's normally us in the UK complaining about Euro prices for stuff being cheaper. You could always order it from Audi Belfast or Portadown, and it shouldn't cost that much for postage.

The other option is buying online. Have you tried these sites (which I've used in the past when not able to find something):

A8parts supply new parts direct from TPS here in the UK, and ship worldwide.

In fact, new parts represent around 25% of the business turnover these days.

Contact the team for any parts you need, they may be able to get you a better deal +++

I keep forgetting that, which is especially good since TPS here won't deal with the public.

I’ve used Audi Portadown to buy parts several times. Very reasonable for postage to the South. I think €20 last time for a discs, pads etc. which are very heavy. Euro/Sterling rate good at moment also.
Ebay.de can be worth a look also if you have a part no.

Nice one lads....some good tips and sites.

I hadn't thought of Audi NI actually.

And in fact, i need new front discs also...

Are most folks going for the Audi OEM's btw?

Isaac Agnew Audi Belfast used to be excellent for parts - I ordered heaps off them in the early days of D2 ownership. They've stopped dealing with OS orders now though, whether change of management or orders from above? I'm sure they'll post to the republic though!
