Reattaching rear view mirror…
 

Managed to pop out the rear view mirror (with my head…) while cleaning the windscreen.

It’s the auto dimming one …looks like it has a spring loaded mechanism. How much force does it need, worried I’m going to break the decorative cover…?

Any tricks getting it back in??

Not sure if you've worked it out by now... It wasn't as hard as removing I found. I think you have to twist it on a little as there's a very strong spring holding it in place.

look for page 62, section 4 for interior mirror. You need to ensure the locking pin is engaged, put the right side in first then push the left side in (upwards) until locking pin is released.
