J724 turbo actuator/engine ECU/wires fault...

Hi all. Anyone encountered this? Have had a sort of limp mode situation a few times just this week. No dash lights, but feels like limp mode.

Did a scan today. Got this:

Ignore the MAF errors, I pulled the MAF to see if that was faulty.

So I’ve got a fault between the turbo actuator and the ECU? Can barely even see the turbo behind the engine, does anyone know where the engine ECU is located?

All the best. John.

For anyone who gives a monkey’s or anyone who encounters this themselves in the future....

It’s a very common issue on VAG TDi wastegates. They get full of carbon. Actuator was having a hard time as the pivot on the waste gate had become stiff one end of its travel.

Used some turbo cleaner spray on the intake side. Expected to have to use it on the exhaust side, but haven’t needed too. Pulls like a train once more.
