RESOLVED: Removal of Cobra Tracker?

Has anyone managed to remove a cobra tracker from their D3, including all the wiring?

I had the glovebox out and came across the unit shoved in above the air duct. So far I managed to track down the GPS unit in the engine bay, some sort of aerial near the left air vent and a mass of wiring going to the left side fuse box. There is also some wires going across to the drivers side, and in there I've found a relay, an in-line fuse, but the wiring disappears up behind the cluster somewhere.

I removed the connector going into the tracker, and as a result the car doesn't start. I suppose one option is to just leave it all there, but having searched for and found this post by Audidothat:

with the car not getting used a lot, I'd like to have it removed to try and preserve the battery. I also discovered the damage the original fitters did to the car that they tried to hide with some sort of white mastic, as well as missing screws.

Yes!

I didn’t do it though but can give you the contact details of the garage that did it, so you can give them a call if you need......

Cool. Could you send me their number and a contact name via PM, as I'd like to know what else has been tinkered with before I start.

Just to update my query. I finally managed to track down a Thatcham approved fitter who can remove the tracker. 140 mile round trip, but at least it will be done properly. For anyone who is considering doing the same, check out this site:
