X carlink

Hi guys a question which I feel sure someone can answer. I'm looking to get a x carlink but what mmi do I have and how do I find out? Many thanks in advance

Which year of car do you have? D3? D2? If it's D3, then it's 2G unless it has the little joystick on top of the main control knob.

Oh balls, I was ment to put that. Mine is a d3 facelift so I presume it's got 2g.

mines a facelift - no 3G :tuttut:

Only late facelifts had 3g. So if there's no joystick on ths main knob then it's 2g

I believe the 'facelift' was implemented in 2007; the 3G MMI was installed in facelift A8 D3s from 2008 Week 36
