Odd Electrical Problem, Possible Poltergeist
 

Here is an odd one, its happened twice over the last month.

2002, Audi S8 everything working as expected.

On two occasions after a long drive I have taken the key out the ignition and the car has locked itself and the passenger window has gone down.

Now I can unlock the car and put the window back up but its all rather odd.

I am sure I am not pressing the lock button on the key (Plus window going down and not up) but there seems to be some electrical gremlin that after the key is removed on odd occasions the car locks or the windows go down.

Car is dry inside, no damp in the footwells, Botang and other drains look Ok so I do not think this is water/ ECU.

Do I need to find a priest to carry out an Exorcism?

From memory, its the central locking pump tucked away in the left hand side of the boot that can control all those functions, so I would start spreading your holy water in that area, or indeed, checking for a leak into the boot, particularly if you have a factory fit phone aerial that I recall can be prone to letting water in directly above that unit +++

It does indeed have a Phone Aerial back there and looking at the seal and plastic its all rather old and crusty.

No doubt leaking, right that is a job for the weekend +++
