D3 windscreen

Spotted this on ebay while searching for windscreen for my D2. Could be a good buy for somebody with D3. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-GENUI...sAAOSwohJbkOFi

Very good price. Would definitely be worth having if you have the space to store it where it won't get damaged.

Or if you just want to replace old windscreen because it's a bit tired.

I bought my D2 in 2008 and straight away started looking for new windscreen because it had a lot of scratches and pitting. It took me 2 years but in 2010 I finally found one on ebay from Listergroup Audi @ £50 or best offer, offered £40 that they accepted, then replaced myself. 8.5 years forward my windscreen has cracked and this time I do not have the luxury waiting 2 years until I find good deal as it needs new MOT in 1 months time. After some crazy quotes of £1k+ I finally got a reasonable offer for D2 @ £234 from budgetwindscreens.co.uk so will probably go with them.

Why did you not claim on your insurance? Excess would have been circa £75

It's SORN without insurance at the moment and when I have insurance it's third party, fire & theft without windscreen cover anyway.

Thanks Ainars - I have a D3 with that windscreen in a very pitted condition and have snapped it up to swap it over in the near future! Much appreciated +++
