I find it interesting how many of us here are from an IT background. It seems disproportionate, like there's some correlation between being in IT and buying an 8.

I wonder if it's also that the relative technical complexity of these vehicles doesn't deter us but also that we're naturally more rational/logical. I mean, at first glance an 8 may not seem an obvious choice but when you analyse it and look at its strengths (such as AWD, large and safe but light-weight, luxurious yet fast, good build quality and a bargain used price), there's little else that compares.

Well, I am IT trained but never had actual paid job in IT and this is the only forum I am actively using, I am registered on couple of others but mostly only for one time use. I am not not even on Facebook.

Same here, except for one other forum I participate in, which is purely for IT professionals. I hate FB, etc.
