Slow Coolant Leak

So, I have slow coolant leak. maybe have to top up every 2 weeks or so. the car still has all the under-trays on so locating the leak is pretty impossible at the moment.

question, are there any known typical locations for leaks that i can try first. Though finding a what is most likely a pin hole in a hay stack is likely to be difficult.

any suggestions welcome.

If its a TDI, the EGR Cooler is also a likely suspect and can be hard to find as it is in the V of the engine and a small leak will evaporate due to the heat in the area.
Maybe get a mechanic do do a pressure test to help locate it.

Next job on my list is a slow coolant leak as well.
In my case it's an alternator which has a very slow leak.

If you take the undertrays off there is a rubber pipe of around 1" dia that connects to a rigid pipe with a metal spring clip. Mine leaked there. A garage put a jubilee clip on instead of the spring clip which fixed it for a few years but is leaking again after I disconnected it to drain the coolant. That's the only place I have had trouble with. I will fix it again soon, but a PITA to get the trays off on my driveway - it'd not quite summery enough yet.
