I've done a few 1,000+ mile trips in mine. The trip home from buying it was 1,100 miles. And did around 1,500 miles last year for a vacation to Florida. It's such a nice car to drive long distance.

I would think it would be easier to simply swap to D2 A8 spindles and then use D3 brakes? D3 A8 have 360mm rotors. D3 S8 are 385mm rotors.
