Is the A8 Sport suspension different to an A8 and S8?

Secondary air injection heats the cats when they're cold by pumping fresh air into the exhaust to heat it quicker. (hotter cat = more efficient cat)

If you're de-catting probably best to cut out...

That's true, not forgetting how many leaps and bounds oil has come along since 1998 though! A good 5w40 or 0w40 I'm sure would keep the engine right.

Who's to say that crappy oil cooler bolted...

I did see that small pipe on Vagcat and then read up about it failing often so it will get done too, although if this plastic one has lasted 10+ years I'm quite happy for...

Belt and gubbins are pretty new as I know the previous garage who worked on the car. I will probably do the thermostat though and new rocker gaskets etc.

Check:

Brake flexi hoses
Brake pipes (condition and for leaks)
Calipers for leaks
ABS module for leaks
