No more water

Well since sealing that hole...... and front is now totally dry, rear was still wet but having lifted the back seat to pull carpet up... and switching tea towels every few days... that nearly dry...

Well centre drains are clear and I get no sounds of any sloshing of water.... both holes are clear left and right over wings.... and the I only ever seem to get water in mine... on the passenger...

I have indeed found a hole at the back under the air con pipes where they bend left (next to the electronics box in the right hand side of the engine bay)....

early PF cars didn't have airbags in the seats.... but late PF did... I believe this was standard from 97 (before FL). Early seats (stand, not sure about sports etc) had airbag tags on the piping at...

Mine went duff a good few years back, it's started by just dropping the cruise as you was going along...... resetting (cycle the switch to off on the stalk) (would fix it) but got worse and worse...

Yeah the bulbs had gone on both sides of mine just leaving the red led lights... but have since replaced both sides with and LED.... so hopefully will not burn out anytime soon... just need to do...

The sensor part number (based on info i saved on my laptop) was 1J0955559, the control unit is in the passanger (UK) footwell basically behind the wooden panel with the 4 screws.

Radio Clock correctly working now in my A8 D2 97 (Pre FL)

Basically I'd fitted this a while back but as it's pre FL it does not have the channel 17 or whatever it was to log in an alter by 1 hour.... then with lots of stuff going on with family etc.......

Added another useful feature, Auto Up Blind On Locking

I have now also made my rear blind go auto up (if down of course) when locking the car by tapping from the same wire from the door. (on the Auto folding mirrors) I had to add a microswitch and relay....

Thanks, yes I have seen this location used, however mine (pre FL) has the headlight level switch there.. so is not blank. I didn't know the tops could be swapped easy.... might prove useful at some...
