My old A6 (late 1990s vintage) had a simple flip lever that took seconds to do, so you could do it on the ferry/train. Seems like a good idea that got lost somewhere.

Wheel cleaning tool

I bought this from Asda (I think) for the princely sum of £1. It's great for cleaning my 20" FE wheels as it fits nicely between the spokes and reaches to the inner rim. And no nasty metal/wire frame...
