I run a 4.2 v8 petrol sport D3 and have done for ~3 years. It's the more luxury feeling, certainly newer tech and is a comfy motorway cruiser.

The Head Unit 07 in VCDS is in two parts basically, the module behind the glovebox (4E0 907 468 A) and the buttons (4E2 919 610 B) in the centre console. BOTH need to work for the MMI to show.

The MMI popped up and worked PERFECTLY

I could see 07 control head in VCDS and ODB11 auto-coded everything back as working!...
