Central locking fixed. Obtained another unit opened them both up and swapped over the just the pump itself avoiding any issues with having to reprogram the system. All quite straightforward really.

Central locking packed up today :(

No previous problems at all. The pump runs (for longer than usual) but fails to lock or unlock the doors. Makes no difference using key rather than remote. Alarm sets and interior lights go on & off...

I'm no expert but isn't it likely to be the alternator belt slipping under high load given the cold weather. I'd certainly check that first.

Hello, On my 2001 S8 over the last week or so sometimes when first switching on the ignition a few faint bleeps can be heard coming from the back of the car (no, it's not the PDC!) - Any ideas?
