After selling my D2 S8 a few years back I'm considering making the leap to a D3 S8. A consideration (but not vial) was if its possible to get a tow bar to fit and if so what the towing capacity is? ...

got a set of these on mine, and they sure are good. You will want to do the ARB links and bushes as well, and whilst your in there do the top mounts too.

I think a lot of it is the nature of the beast, mine likes to eat the inside edge of the front tyres, as did my A4 2.8 quattro. A heavy engine, a long way forward, and 4wd is probably the problem....

I thought the 1p cut bought it down 1p... but they also binned the 'fuel duty esculator' which was supposed to take it up 5p. So we are effectively 6p better off, but only 1p cheaper than iwas.

I agree that a gearbox map that only works on sport and tip would be the answer, or even switchable maps.
