On the way out?

I have a bad feeling about my gearbox...... 98k from new, don't think it's ever been serviced, 5-4-3 shifts started to get jerky and started randomly changing on a light throttle from 5 to 4 and back...

I had the same on my 98 D2 S8. The sensor is mounted to the washer fluid tank, so I bought one from a reputable salvage firm and fitted it- job sorted
