the center display is based on florescent technology, a bit like florescent tubes you get in the kitchen or garage, it doesn't like the cold, so will be dim when its cold, and warm up as the cabin...

I've come to the conclusion now that its meant to do it, been doing it for over 12k now, (as long as I have owned it) I think the mid gear lockup is meant to be there, you get the feeling you've got...

Front Disc's 323x30mm

Rears are 269x22mm

Mine was fine until I had the transmission fluid changed, then I got the distinctive smell that I think Ian described of the fluid dripping onto the exhaust.
Anyway cost me £260+vat at a local auto...

First I would swap the fuse, second whip the radio...

might be adding to the confusion, but the a/c fan will only run when the climate is on (and ECON is not selected) just checked mine, and the air con compressor clutch pulls in followed by a/c fan...
