As for paying a deposit without viewing, I think it depends where you're buying from. I bought a car last week with a phone deposit subject to inspection (paid on credit card for protection just in case), picked it up today, happy days |

As for the deposit via credit card..... well I would actually do that too as you have a fair amount of protection with the credit card company. I asked these guys could I pay the deposit via credit card to which I was told we do not accept credit card payments over the phone but can take a payment at any of our two warehouses. A pile of poo I know but again they were just playing the game to try to tag me along.......
