I've never seen anything like this before. Its going to take a fair bit of work to flush all this out.
Engine front end coming apart

Covers off the belt. The idlers look good, but the belt is done so just as well we're in there
Evidence of a 'rad weld' type treatment having been used in the past, so a full coolant flush will be needed too, including the heater cores (joy). The radiator is unexpectedly heavy so probably silted up
Not leaking though which is a major bonus at this age.
