It was - but nothing too serious or terminal, though that might not have been the case had the chain pad not managed to hang on till the bitter end: Herman's had very little TLC over the last three years, and I could tell on the drive down that he was well overdue the sort of care that Michaela provides.

Underneath it all however, he was basically in very good nick - as MJ's comments about the engine condition show - but just needed a good thorough service and lots of little(ish...) jobs done. Oh, and the Milltek fitted .

It is extraordinary how much better the car now feels and drives - almost as responsive as my Tesla now, which is saying something. And well worth booking an appointment with the doctor, David. You know you want to.
