Default Electrically adjustable steering column issue.

Hello my steering column has started acting up after i switched the ignition on and off quite quickly the steering wheel started moving when I turned the ignition off for the easy exit function but than when I instantly switched the ignition on again it stopped moving and will not move in or out now but still up and down same issue when using memory buttons moves fine up and down but no in and out I have replaced the control module but no difference next step I think will be lowering the entire column down and giving 12v directly to the adjustment motor. Has anyone encountered this issue or maybe have some input on possible source of the problem? Thanks in advance for the help
