I am in the process of servicing the gearbox and have a question regarding the fill procedure. All the guides talk about running through the gears (R, N, D, 3, 2, 1) but what if you have the later shifter with Sport mode? Should you just do through R, N, D, S, or should you use the Tiptronic shifter to force the box through 1, 2 & 3? Anybody had any experience of this?
The service itself has been fun… one of the two cat-obscured bolts was not for moving, which meant taking off the long cat pipe
. That allowed me to hammer an old oversized multi-tooth bit into the rusty leftovers of the bolt and get it out.
It is a fun job removing and (in particular) re-installing that cat pipe… 😊
