So update, my local garage I use has really ****ed me off this time.

Put car in for service and asked them to look at this at same time…

Instead of actually looking at what was cause they’ve just taken my inexperienced suggestion that it was maybe aux belt and replaced it.

My mobile mechanic guy had had a quick look and thought possibly power steering related.

Needless to say still whining although it’s a bit different to what I was experiencing before.

Looking under bonnet I found a clamp that had sheared off (fresh metal for the bolt head) and was left sitting on the aux belt, and looking in today I notice one of the pipes the clamp was holding back is now touching the fan….

Had a few Audis over the years, mostly early stuff, newest was a D3 prior to my D4, nothing much kept me smitten with other marques so I floated about a bit from one thing to another until that four ring lure caught hold
