OK - partial result. I believe I have at least reduced the leak as the system now activates and the front of the car will rise. Still leaking though as a) I can hear it and b) the compressor shuts down through overheating after a bit. Will need to wait until tomorrow to try again to see if it's the same leak or another one. Shouldn't have gloated to the wife.......
