Default Fuel consuption error on the instrument panel

Hi,

A8 4.2TDI. The instrument panel says consumption is 6,7L/100Km but real consumption (filling up and checking millage against liters) is 8,3L/100Km. Thatīs a 1,6L consumption difference between what audi says on the dashboard and the real one. I was aware that manufactures lie a bit on the measurements so we live happy, but 1,6L is a massive difference.

Has anyone found the same problem?

Iīve only seen this happening after engine ECU remapping.

I know that BMW has some short of hidden menu to modify "special" functions within with there is something like a fuel consumption correction factor that you can change in order to adjust it so it matches the real figure.

Any suggestions?

Cheers!
