if its a hybrid, thats a fail then
just check out the Chevy Volt's innards, most complex car anywhere, requires a million lines of code to control the two electric motors, 3 clutches, and petrol engine.
Its got to be all electric, or nothing, but since battery tech isnt there yet, I guess its back to petrol
Or just get a Nissan Leaf if you only do city driving, thats all electric, price is falling like a rock, saw one on ebay for £14k. I drove one too, very nice to drive.
Tesla Model S is on my list too, 230miles range is just about the lower limit of acceptable. Let me know when they drop to £10k
Although I hate the big touch screen and no buttons.
My dream electric car would be a D2 S8, either with a motor for each drive shaft (4 motors) no gearboxes, or a motor each driving the 4.111 differentials directly. Plenty of battery space in the prop shaft well.
