No car will get anywhere near the advertised MPGs, and it's not Audi's fault, the tests are set by the EU or some other useless quango and can only be replicated in laboratory conditions with no air con, no lights, no radio, no nothing, not even wind, just auto stop-start which is brilliant at improving the test scores but pretty useless in the real world.

All Audi and everyone else have done have made their cars as good as possible at the test, as that helps them achieve their overall emission targets and get more sales as their company car drivers have to pay less tax.

Real world, 30-40mpg from any large diesel is more likely, dependent on conditions and driving style.
