I too had an advisory about rust on the subframe, front one in my case.
They said it wasn't too bad, but when I took it to MRC to get a set of new shocks and springs, the front subframe was holed and not in a good state, so I had it replaced with a brand new one.
Best thing is to get under there and have a look yourself, if its really bad you could ask A8 Parts if they have one which is not badly rusted. Used subframes are very cheap, around £100?
