Light starts flashing after about a second and it took about 1.5 minutes to completely clear the windscreen, which isn't bad considering it's been frozen since last night.
I wonder if there's a fuse inside the controller module considering there's no other indication of one anywhere, and you'd think it would need one with its power requirements. Possibly behind that small panel at the bottom where the large cables go in.

I think that's the next step, take off the module and have a good look at it. There are 4 wires, 2 from battery to control unit and then 2 that go to windscreen I take it?
