No idea mate and I thought the same and now I have a incompatible set of paddles for sale 
But eventually I got it right.
Some bases look almost identical, but when it comes to fitting they are not, then there is different layout of internals so even keeping old base and swapping just the paddles wont work, I went through all that mate.
