Michelin specs 9-10.5" as recommended wheel widths for these tyres, and sure, they do have a slight, mild stretched look, but I wouldn´t call it stretch
When i bought new tyres, I were looking at 275/30, but there wasn´t any tyres of that width with the right load index.
275/35 would´ve been a bit to fat for the fronts (i.e. possibly not fitted within the front wheelarch), and Michelin PSS are known to be on the "fat" side, so 265/35 it is.
