It’s such a lovely car, I’m really shocked at how mechanically sound it is. It really has no right to be for a D2 or any car of this age and mileage. The air con blows ice cold too, no warning lights, super-smooth changes on the box.
I’m going to keep it totally original, I ordered the Audi rings & S8 Badge (staff rates working for the brand will come in useful once again) - the older style one is discontinued so they’ve got me a facelift one. I’ll probably replace with a pre-facelift at some point but for now I just need to get it badged up again and the scratch sorted, no mods being planned at all, maybe brighter headlight bulbs (not HID or anything with a blue tint), I love the originality of it and intend to keep it that way right down to the older PF S8 badge.
