An Android head unit surely is cheaper than the elusive C5 RNS-e? The Icebox one which looks similar is £320 iirc. Nice condition RNS-e units seem to be 300-400 plus all the adapters and expensive 4GB non-HC SD cards.
I'd consider an RNS-e a more expensive option where you are prepared to pay for the OEM integration and user interface. The Android unit is a pain with Bose because of the odd characteristics of the amp, but non-Bose should be simple enough. I'll grant it does get more expensive and complicated when you have to change the amp though.
