Sorry I don't have a micrometer on hand to take measurements of the metal bracket. I kinda had a feeling that it was too thick to use.
I cut off part of the plastic L bracket and temporary placed it in the light assembly to get a picture. Ignore the metal bracket in the picture as I just used it to hold up the light assembly so I could take a picture without holding it up. I have a feeling that I need to cut the plastic bracket shorter as seen in this picture?
