Hat tip to Snap dragon on the oven cleaner tip. I taped off the bumpers and gave a liberal spray of BBQ cleaner, outside and in. Left for about two hours and put newspaper underneath. I bought a bottle scrubber, took off the handle and used a drill to clean the inside of the tips with bucket of hot water to dip the brush in and clean as i went. Then i hit it with t-cut metal polish. Took me less than 10 mins per exhaust tip.

Compared to the hour or so I see detailers using tons of metal polish this was a super hack. The BBQ cleaner literally hoofed the carbon deposits off...
