Commodores aren't that bad! I came from them into the Audi camp (and have absolutely no intention of going back).
They suffer a little from the practices of their parent company, but generally hold together ok and have easy going torquey engines.
Easier to work on than large Audi's too

One of the things that makes it easier to work on is the lack of corrosion as there isnt the amount of rain/salt on the roads as there is in the West of Scotland. To be fair, the Buick engine used seems pretty bomb-proof and there arnt too many "black boxes" so most things seem DIY'able.
