I possibly should have clarified that the pound was spent on bolts to hold the F125 back together after I drilled the rivets out

If it goes in to limp the instant the shifter moves then its usually the F125, and will give a specific code to say so, normally accompanied by the same code in the ABS unit.

If it goes in to limp when it moves, or tries to move, its something internal - usually a clutch pack or hydraulic issue.

There are a few edge cases like when a contact came adrift in Neil's which caused no-start and other oddities, and water ingress like I had with General Vod which caused pretty much every TCU code imaginable! Mostly though its F125 or clutch packs.
