I think the other device is an electronic tacho in the glovebox, which makes me think italian maybe for some reason, but i can't justify that hunch with any fact...
Japanese was my conclusion based upon this.....

I have read before, they had a totally different MMI system, higher res screen, different 5f, more "bells and whistles" but useless in the rest of the world. I think it related to a Jap import into Auz that needed a lot of components changed to work!?
