Default Glovebox damping

So, it was pretty cold the other morning, -3.5 C

The D3 had not been used for a while and was covered in thick frost.

I opened the glovebox on my 2004 D3 to retrieve an item, and was greeted by a cracking sound. Now the damped opening and interior light are non functional, I am guessing some piece of brittle plastic has cracked because of the cold. Now when you open it, it just flops open but at least has not fallen off its hinges.

Has anyone got a picture of a removed glovebox so I can see the door mechanism. I've found a replacement part on ebay, just need to confirm its the right one.

It looks like from that picture that the light switch is part of the damper.
