Ugh. So it sounds like the saga isn't quite over yet.
The car is at Audi while they repeatedly fail to diagnose a small knock coming from the front end while doing slow manoeuvres. They called me today to let me know that during the health check, they spotted the transmission is leaking onto the catalyst. They have quoted me for a replacement gasket, bolts and transmission fluid to the tune of £1045. I told them it should still be under guarantee from the place that repaired it, but to check whether it's covered by the car warranty in the meantime, just in case.
I called Chester Transmissions who were pretty shocked at the price and said that they would pass on the details of a local transmission specialist who can fix the fault for me under guarantee. They said they'd call me by the end of the day but I've not received a call as yet.
Holy cow, can this car not go a bloody week without leaking/seeping/spilling something?!
