I've found the standard Audi jack not to be too bad on the D2's I had. Then again most things i've done have been in my factory with a nice flat concrete floor so pretty much ideal. I've always added blocks, stands etc as while the cars are light for their size i don't fancy one in my face (did a lot of gearbox work on my old one).
I wouldn't work with just a trolly jack in there either. 'elf and saftey an' all that!
