One thing I do have is a parasitic battery drain and as yet I am not completely sure of the cause, suspect alarm siren as it has failed again.

I've been staying with family away from Dorset for the last week, and the A8 has not really been used that much. Basically if the car is left for 36 hours the battery meter indicates a drop from 100% down to about 80% (2 bars gone), a short drive round town brings it back to full 100% again. The car is usually used everyday so the small drain is not usually a problem.

I am now back in Dorset but using my dads car, so the A8 is sitting on their drive and will be for the next four full days. I drove the car at lunchtime today, so I hope the battery will still have enough juice to start the car again on Friday evening/Saturday morning.
